One of the hallmarks of John Currie’s leadership has been transparent and proactive communications to stakeholders. His original pocket “budget & values” card has been duplicated by many schools, and his comprehensive “executive briefing” helps university administrators, donors and board members better understand the details of running a college athletics department.
And, through regular open letters to fans and donors, Currie keeps lines of communication open sharing updates on athletic department finances, staffing and facility enhancements as well as celebrating the accomplishments of student-athletes and their coaches.
